Were you expecting it? have you submitted your CV/ attended an interview at Dragon oil? Is the Dragon Oil website clearly state don the letter, does it look like a genuine website?

1. What is a job scam? Also known as Advance Fee Fraud or 419 Fraud.
Answers: First of all, what is a job scam? Probably most of you already know the answer, but for those who don鈥檛, here is an explanation: a job scam is a form of FRAUD where certain persons (scammers), posing as recruiters (agencies) or as employers offer really attractive employment opportunities (which seem too good to be true); subsequently, the jobseeker (candidate looking for a good job) is required to pay them [the scammers] money in advance, usually under the guise of work visas, air travel expenses, and out-of-pocket expenses. Usually, the job scam form is called Advance Fee Fraud or 419 Fraud.

2. How do the scammers act?
Answers: A scammer attempts to gain his victim's [the victim is the jobseeker] confidence in order to extract personal information such as full name, bank account details, credit card details, PayPal information, Social Security Number (SSN), driver鈥檚 license, birth date, home address, or any other personal data.

3. What should you do to protect yourself?
Answers: It鈥檚 easy. Never disclose, by email or telephone, to people whom you don鈥檛 know, your personal data such as: - full name - bank account details - credit card information - PayPal information - Social Security Number (SSN) - driver鈥檚 license - birth date - home address

4. How to tell if a recruiter/employer is real, genuine and in good faith?
Answers: You can try one or more of the below options:
a) Look at the company name. Is it saying anything to you? Have you heard of it before?
b) Does the domain name match the name of the company?
c) Ask your friends and colleagues if they heard of that company.
d) Google it. Yahoo it. MSN it. Run a search and see if the same company has been involved in job scams or if other people say that company has been scamming others.
e) See what country that company pretends to be working in. Then call or email the Embassy of that particular country and ask them if they know anything of it.
f) Ask that company if you need to pay anything in exchange for their service. If first they say no and then, after some time, say you must pay for visa, work permit or for travel, it鈥檚 a fake company and behind it are job scammers!
g) Ask that company to provide you copies of their incorporation certificate or proofs of Government registration, or VAT number.
h) And finally, be advised that most fake companies acting as scammers ';offer'; scam jobs in areas such as Africa (Nigeria being the most famous case), Middle East, Asia, even South America. To a much smaller extent, even US or Western Europe.

5. Ways to discover if a job offer made to you is real or scam.
Answers: There are several methods you can use to determine whether a recruiter or employer is real, and acting in good faith. Generally speaking, if you are made a job offer by a company to whom you never applied before and, still, they make you a job offer without even having interviewed you, that is a clear job scam. But let鈥檚 see some possible scenarios:
a) First of all, look at the web address from which the pretended recruiter or employer send the email. For instance, let鈥檚 you get an email from ';Shell UK ';, but when you look in the From: field, you see this ';Shell UK'; - ';shelluk@yahoo.com';. If this is the case, it is clearly a job scam. Why? Because real companies, acting in good faith never use free email providers (such as Yahoo!, AOL, MSN, GMAIL and so forth).
b) Second, let鈥檚 say you get an email from a so called Xaturnico Oil Company. The email comes from ';Xaturnico'; - ';career@xaturnico.com';. So far so good, there are high chances that the company exists, and the domain name (xaturnico.com) matches the company鈥檚 name, Xaturnico. Also, the domain xaturnico.com is valid, working, uploaded on hosting and the company has a web presence (no ';currently under construction'; appears). Now you need to dig further - read the email, see what they are saying. If they use fancy words, and make you a job offer with a very high salary comparing to your current salary or to the market rates, or if they are asking for an advance payment (either by PayPal, check, wire transfer or other form), or if they are asking you to forward them any personal information (such as credit card information, bank account details, etc), that is a job scam! DO NOT send them any payment, and do not provide them with any personal information.
c) Third, let鈥檚 assume you get an email fro Wakutty Oil. The email comes from ';Wakutty Oil'; - ';recruitment@wakutty.com';. There are high chances that the company exists, and the domain name (wakutty.com) matches the company鈥檚 name, Wakutty. Also, the domain wakutty.com is valid, working, uploaded on hosting and the company has a web presence (no ';currently under construction'; appears). They are rather smooth, they don鈥檛 ask anything from you, you exchange emails with them, everything is ok, then, after 2 weeks (or, if they are very patient, after 2 months), they suddenly say they need an advance payment (either by Paypal, check, wire transfer or other form), or they are asking you to forward them your personal information (such as credit card information, bank account details, etc), that is, yes, a job scam. DO NOT send them any payment, and do not provide them with any personal information.
d) In order to gain your trust, these scammers / fake companies might even say they need your medical information, previous employment status, and so forth. Do not disclose this information to anyone you do not know and whom you cannot check (either in person or by official ways).
e) There are other scenarios we have yet to hear of. Stay cautious! Email us if you hear of anything new, so we can put it here and benefit others.

How can a person who lives in the city prepare for the decline after peak oil?
Oil will not just ';run out'; because all oil production follows a bell curve. This is true whether we're talking about an individual field, a country, or on the planet as a whole.
Oil is increasingly plentiful on the upslope of the bell curve, increasingly scarce and expensive on the down slope. The peak of the curve coincides with the point at which the endowment of oil has been 50 percent depleted. Once the peak is passed, oil production begins to go down while cost begins to go up.
In practical and considerably oversimplified terms, this means that if 2005 was the year of global Peak Oil, worldwide oil production in the year 2030 will be the same as it was in 1980. However, the world鈥檚 population in 2030 will be both much larger (approximately twice) and much more industrialized (oil-dependent) than it was in 1980. Consequently, worldwide demand for oil will outpace worldwide production of oil by a significant margin. As a result, the price will skyrocket, oil dependant economies will crumble, and resource wars will explode.
The issue is not one of ';running out'; so much as it is not having enough to keep our economy running. In this regard, the ramifications of Peak Oil for our civilization are similar to the ramifications of dehydration for the human body. The human body is 70 percent water. The body of a 200 pound man thus holds 140 pounds of water. Because water is so crucial to everything the human body does, the man doesn't need to lose all 140 pounds of water weight before collapsing due to dehydration. A loss of as little as 10-15 pounds of water may be enough to kill him.
In a similar sense, an oil based economy such as ours doesn't need to deplete its entire reserve of oil before it begins to collapse. A shortfall between demand and supply as little as 10 to 15 percent is enough to wholly shatter an oil-dependent economy and reduce its citizenry to poverty.
The effects of even a small drop in production can be devastating. For instance, during the 1970s oil shocks, shortfalls in production as small as 5% caused the price of oil to nearly quadruple. The same thing happened in California a few years ago with natural gas: a production drop of less than 5% caused prices to skyrocket by 400%.
Fortunately, those price shocks were only temporary.
The coming oil shocks won't be so short lived. They represent the onset of a new, permanent condition. Once the decline gets under way, production will drop (conservatively) by 3% per year, every year. War, terrorism, extreme weather and other ';above ground'; geopolitical factors will likely push the effective decline rate past 10% per year, thus cutting the total supply by 50% in 7 years. Source
These estimate comes from numerous sources, not the least of which is Vice President Dick Cheney himself. In a 1999 speech he gave while still CEO of Halliburton, Cheney stated:
By some estimates, there will be an average of two-percent annual growth
in global oil demand over the years ahead, along with, conservatively, a
three-percent natural decline in production from existing reserves. That
means by 2010 we will need an additional 50 million barrels per day.Source
Cheney's assesement is supported by the estimates of numerous non-political, retired, and now disinterested scientists, many of whom believe global oil production will peak and go into terminal decline within the next five years, if it hasn't already. Source
Many industry insiders think the decline rate will far higher than Cheney anticipated in 1999. Andrew Gould, CEO of the giant oil services firm Schlumberger, for instance, recently stated that ';An accurate average decline rate of 8% is not an unreasonable assumption.'; Source Some industry analysts are anticipating decline rates as high as 13% per year. Source A 13% yearly decline rate would cause gobal production to drop by 75% in less than 11 years.

I live a little south of you (just north of Baltimore) and probably have similar weather. I run 10w30 in my truck (V8 engine) and 5w30 in my wife's 4 cylinder car (both synthetic oil).
You didn't mention what type of SUVs you have and whether or not they're still under manufacturer's warranty (if so, follow the owner's manual recommendations for weight and frequency). 5w30 would be fine for the winter in all the vehicles and fine for year round use in the car.
If the SUVs are V8s, you may want to use 10w30 in the summer. The advice of an oil cooler for the towing is right on, too.

for me...i'll drive a hybrid, buy a solar panel generator, raise honeybees so that they can survive the chemtrails being sprayed in the air, this will help pollinate plants, i'll plant more plants which will absorb co2 (besides the microorganisms in the ocean) and act as a carbon sink. I will buy locally to support local farmers and avoid buying products that take so much gas to bring them across the country. and then i'll build a grey-water system and have barrels for collecting rainwater to water plants and trees. Now I went to a mechanic for a small repair (external) and he claims that the water is getting mixed with oil and the head gasket has to be replaced and it costs 15K.

Remove the oil filler cap and look inside it. If oil is mixing with water you will see a milky brown sludge. 15k seems about 14.5k too much to me. The only way to know for sure if your oil pressure is truly too low as is being indicated by the red dash oil light is to have a shop hook up a professional oil pressure gauge directly to your engine and measure the oil pressure at hot engine idle when it's the lowest. It should be at least 12 psi. If not, you might need a new oil pump. Of course your hoping it's a faulty oil pressure sensor which is a low cost repair to replace while your at the shop.

have this checked out as continuous low pressure can cause premature engine failure...

Oil spraying out of cylinder union? (RM250)?
okay so i have a 1995 RM250. i was replacing the transmission oil one day and took it for a small spin. when i returned there was oil all over the engine. so i adding more oil and started it back up and found where it was leaking from, the cylinder union. as seen in the link. i asked a online representative over a biking website and he said to do a leak down test?
anyone know of any problems that would cause my bike to ';spray'; oil out of the cylinder union?

It's possible you over filled the crankcase.
Hold the bike upright when checking the oil level (as if you were sitting on it).
The oil level check bolt is on the right side crankcase cover - it has a sealing washer on it.
Place an oil drain pan under the engine.
Remove the check bolt.
Slowly add oil until it starts to drip out of the oil level check hole.
Stop adding oil and replace the bolt.
Start and run the engine for a few minutes - to lubricate all moving parts.
Stop the engine and let it sit for a few minutes - to allow the oil to settle to the bottom of the crankcase.
Remove the oil level check bolt (bike standing upright).
Add oil until it starts to drain out of the check hole.
When the oil stops draining, the oil is at the proper level - install the check bolt.
It's also possible the right side crankshaft seal is leaking.
Pressure from the bottom end will blow past the seal and force oil out of the crankcase breather.
A leak down test will tell you if the seal is leaking.
A leak down test is difficult to perform on a 2 stroke engine.

It's possible you over filled the crankcase.
Hold the bike upright when checking the oil level (as if you were sitting on it).
The oil level check bolt is on the right side crankcase cover - it has a sealing washer on it.
Place an oil drain pan under the engine.
Remove the check bolt.
Slowly add oil until it starts to drip out of the oil level check hole.
Stop adding oil and replace the bolt.
Start and run the engine for a few minutes - to lubricate all moving parts.
Stop the engine and let it sit for a few minutes - to allow the oil to settle to the bottom of the crankcase.
Remove the oil level check bolt (bike standing upright).
Add oil until it starts to drain out of the check hole.
When the oil stops draining, the oil is at the proper level - install the check bolt.
It's also possible the right side crankshaft seal is leaking.
Pressure from the bottom end will blow past the seal and force oil out of the crankcase breather.
A leak down test will tell you if the seal is leaking.
A leak down test is difficult to perform on a 2 stroke engine.

Very little of it has to do with any policies the democrats are in favor of and none of it is due to what the democrats have done, since they've only had slim control of the house and senate for a year and a half and can't get anything significant past without being blocked by the minority or the president, both of which are republicans.

Another is the increase in energy usage by China, India and many other countries. Another is the OPEC cartel. Another is the lack of refineries. Another is the oligopoly in the oil market that stiffles competition (not as bad as the outright cartel that OPEC has, but still has a major market effect which is why they make rediculous profits, rather than putting that money into setting prices lower than their competitors). Yet another is a lack of research funds for renewable energy sources. And another is though to be excessive price bidding by speculators in the market (an oil bubble). Not tapping in to the full reserve of US oil has an effect, but it is negligable compared to these others and if we were to drill for oil in Alaska, it would be years before we saw any effect and even then it would be negligable. We'd be far better off preserving the Alaskan wilderness and reducing our oil requirements with increased use of wind and other alternatives.

I think the auto industry should go to the oil companies for a bailout. The US should not give any money to the big 3 automakers. They are honestly, a dinasaur ready to become extinct.
